The darker ink indicates that Bocc. made the emendation several years after the original copying, when he re-traced two marginal glosses on the same page (2.25.3; 2.27.5). The emendation to qual is unnecessary for the sake of meter, since the final e is elided with udendo. The emendation may indicate Bocc.'s changed preferences some years after he copied AUT. The n was underdotted for omission during the original copying of AUT, with the same ink used in copying the MS.

Bocc. has emended the poem (2.25.5) and retraced the two marginal glosses (2.25.3; 2.27.5) on fol. 21v, using darker ink. The same ink is used to under-dot ad, emending it to a. Although Bocc. uses a tutt-, his preferred form when copying AUT was ad tutt-. The emendation may indicate his changed preference when he retraced text in AUT some years later.
